Ridley Scott is actively going ahead with a sequel to Prometheus, it has been reported.
Both Scott and the studio Fox are “pushing ahead with a follow-up” and talking to new writers in case Prometheus’s co-writer Damon Lindelof doesn’t return to the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Fassbender and Rapace are signed up for the project, which would likely be released in 2014 or 2015.
“Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can’t rush it,” said Fox president of production Emma Watts.
